From production to use through to the disposal of its products, Test 1 is committed to ensuring proper management of the direct and indirect environmental impacts of its operations.
Unlike other clean-up methods, PU-FF is not harmful to marine fauna and flora. Since it is an inert absorbent material and is not soluble in water, it does not interact with living organisms.
Reusability drastically cuts down the volumes to be disposed of and the relevant costs.
PU-FF is safe for human health, in particular if it comes into contact with the skin.
At the end of its life cycle, PU-FF can be disposed of or regenerated, thus avoiding the need for disposal in landfills or incinerators. The regenerated product contains between 20 to 30% spent material and the remaining 70-80% consists of virgin material.
