Carpetflex 2.5 is recommended for all oil spills requiring rapid oil absorption and equally rapid recovery by means of wringing and reuse. The absorbent mats are available in 2 versions which different in their reuse potential: Heavy versions 100 reuses, Light version 30 reuses.
Carpetflex 5.0 is particularly recommended for massive spills > 1 cm. The increased thickness gives every single mat greater absorption, but at the same time it slows down the absorption rate. These characteristics allow the product to provide 2 functions, absorption and barrier, simultaneously. Carpetflex is therefore midway between a barrier and an absorbent mat/skimmer.
This product has the same characteristics as Carpetflex and is a containment barrier while also providing an absorbent function, with low absorption speed and capacity, through long-term saturation. Modules can be linked together by a system of flexible straps and rings.
It consists of a combination of cylinders inside polyester nets, with internal connecting strings. It performs the same functions as the other PU-FF line products, with low absorption speed and capacity, through long-term saturation. Modules can be connected together by a system of flexible straps and rings Since it is made of PU-Foam Flex, Serpflex can be reused after undergoing a mechanical or manual wringing process.
PU-FF is simple and practical to use: the product is thrown into the water and is then recovered to be wrung out and reused
Hot melt bonding to a non-woven fabric with the same hydrophobic, oleophilic characteristics gives PU-FF considerable tensile strength without restricting its absorbent performances. This strength allows the product to be reused even by means of manual wringing, which involves a high level of mechanical stress.
To allow PU-FF to be reused more quickly and minimise the mechanical stress it has to undergo, Test 1 has developed a special machine: The P.U.-WRING
The P.U.-WRING weighs about 68 kg and is easy to transport and install in any location, from wharves to the deck of a ship.
The hydrocarbons are collected in a tank placed below the pressing rollers. From here, they can be pumped to a storage facility.
Construction material: stainless steel.
Weight: 68 kg.
Maximum pressing capacity: depends on set default speed, with 150 litres/minute maximum.
Metres of PUFF wrung out per minute: in relation to the set default speed with a set maximum of 23 metres/minute.
Fitted with a chute at the infeed section of the wringing rollers to accompany the PUFF carpet.
Fitted with a collection tank with port for discharge hose.
0.25 Hp (0.18 kW) three-phase motor with rotation direction adjuster, without inverter as speed is preset by default. This value can be adjusted to the motor reduction ratio. The inverter can nevertheless be fitted as an option.
Provided with dual-purpose spring system: a) safety: also designed to allow transit of non-oily solid detritus b) adjustment of wringing compression.
Machine with superimposed rollers, consisting of two pairs of carrying pulleys, one pair at the infeed and one pair at the outfeed.
Driven wringing belts: model AT5.
Mechanical adjustment for setting the distance between the superimposed rollers in order to achieve different levels of wringing.
